Governing Council

The Aging Well Governing Council provides leadership for the initiative.  The Governing Council is composed of 13 individuals who live and/or work in the greater Lyons Township community.  Many of these individuals have been involved in the partnership from its establishment in late 2001.

The Governing Council has representation from a diverse group of community members including older adults, local government, faith-based organizations, businesses, social services, and other community agencies. 

The Governing Council oversees the entire Aging Well initiative.  The Council is responsible for maintaining the strategic direction of the project and making decisions regarding fundraising, communications and marketing, Aging Well events and project strategies.  The group ensures that project goals are met and that partnership activities adhere to the Aging Well mission and vision.
